Uniplex 125-A is a versatile plasticizer that is compatible with many polymers, including polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl acetate, polyvinyl butyral, ethyl cellulose, nitrocellulose, and cellulose acetate butyate.
Uniplex 125-A is approved as an indirect food addition under 21CFR 175.105, 177.1210, and 177.2600.
Uniplex 125-A provides superior flexibility to vinyl products at low temperatures compared to dioctylphthalate.
In comparison to dioctylphthalate, Uniplex 125-A is advantageous in preparing vinyl dispersions with low initial and stable viscosity.
The electrical resistivity and low dissipation factor of Uniplex 125-A make it especially useful in electrical insulation applications. Other suggested applications are polyvinyl chloride film, polyvinylidine chloride film, and adhesive and coatings formulations.
