UNIPLEX FP-766
Fluorochemical Greaseproof Agent for Paper and
Paperboard
Overview
Uniplex FP-766 is a FDA approved, water soluble
fluorochemical agent that imparts a high degree of oil and grease resistance to
paper and paperboard. It also imparts a sizing effect, and water resistance.
Uniplex FP-766 is listed with TSCA. CAS numbers of the active components are
65530-64-5 and65530-63-4.
The addition of Uniplex FP-766 finish to paper
and paperboard does not affect texture, color, lubricity, air permeability or
strength of the paper. Uniplex FP-766 can be applied by the size press, gravure
or roll coating methods, or as internal sizing. Oil and Water resistance is obtained
through normal drying. Curing at high temperature after drying is
not necessary.
Uniplex FP-766 is Non-Flammable, and does not contain or
release ozonedepleting chlorofluorocarbons (CFC's), alkylphenol
ethoxylates (APE's), and does not release formaldehyde.
